Sustainable development goal was brought about in United Nations at Rio de Janeiro in the year 2012. The purpose was to set universal goals which would assist in environmental, political and economic development. The predecessors, which includes Millennium Development Goal was a failure, because of which Sustainable Development Goal was included. Sustainable Development Goal is nothing more than creating a balance between the environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and social- political sustainability. Sustainable development is a development which satisfies the need of the present generation without compromising the needs of the future generation. Sustainable Development Goals includes 17 goals and the main principle of the goal is that none individual shall be left behind in all spheres of life. The Sustainable Development Goals include the growth of an individual and also prosperity at international level. The study of Sustainable Development Goal critically mentions 5 dimensions, which are also termed as 5P’s, i.e. people, prosperity, planet, partnership and peace. Traditionally, the core elements included social, economic and environmental growth. In this research paper, researcher has tried to identify the need and effectiveness of sustainable development goal, further its object is to trace the effectiveness and pillars of sustainable development goal. In this paper researcher has tried to explain the various goals of sustainable development along with its importance. |
