Abstract:
This research article explores the intricate relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
interactive storytelling in video games, with a particular focus on the transformative role played by AIdriven
Non-Player Characters (NPCs). Analyzing the evolution of AI in the gaming industry, this study
investigates the impact of AI-driven NPCs on narrative immersion, player agency, and overall gaming
experiences. Ethical considerations, technical challenges, and potential future developments are
