dc.description.abstract Women are always seen as commodity in India. The reasons can be traced in history. The women had a golden period in Vedic period and she was having every right and respect without any written laws. After the Vedic period the status of women started deteriorating. India being patriarchal society women has struggled for their rights and to reach to the level of women empowerment.
