Values in Field work for social work: Value ethics for sustainable and ethical future, for the field work in social Work

Abstract

Field work is core of social work practice. When we think about field work in social work education then, the educator must be experienced from field. The educator must know about the each and every aspects of field work. The students will accept the experiential learning approach, when the educator is experienced. When we think about the value education in social work, the social worker must accept the ethics & values of Social work. As, social work play an important role in community, values become an important part of it. The values of social work are Democratic values, Human dignity, Human rights, welfare and access of resources, Security, humanity, freedom & self determination, social justice, equality, democracy, participation. When the educator is teaching about the values, the educator must accept that first. In the field of social work, when we think about the value education & that will be sustainable and important for ethical future, the educator must have to take an effort with students in their academics. The two or three year academic program of social work creates a good citizen & human being. The effort taken by the educator for the students, that will reflect when the students of social work started their career in own life. The values rooted at the time of courses that reflects in the field & also in personal life. The present paper is based in the value ethics for sustainable and ethical future in social work profession. The present paper will discuss how the values are important in the field of social work. This will also discuss about how the values are reflects in educators teaching process. Field work is a part of social work and the values are important for field work that also reflects in this paper.
